1. What is Global Casting and what can you do with it?
Global Casting is a platform for professional profiles and discovering people in the creative industries. It is organised around two paths: showcasing talent and searching for collaborators. Artists can clearly present their profession and their work, while interested professionals can explore available profiles using targeted criteria.
| App feature | How it helps you |
|---|---|
| Choosing a profession | Tailors the professional profile fields to your work. |
| Personal and professional details | Brings together your introduction, languages and contact information. |
| Photos, videos and preview | Organises samples of your work according to your chosen plan. |
| Availability and interest in representation | Adds useful professional context to your profile. |
| Search filters | Helps you select profiles that match a project's needs. |
| Shortlist | Collects profiles you want to review again. |
The first step is simple: from the Global Casting homepage, choose whether to present your work or find people for a project.
2. Who is it for?
Artists and creators
The app offers six main categories: actor, singer, musician, model, dancer and director. Each category has its own professional focus. An actor can highlight performances and languages, a musician instruments and musical style, while a director can present types of productions and a portfolio of work.
Your primary profession determines how you want to be recognised in searches. Choose the category that best represents your main creative activity and describe your experience and the collaborations that interest you in concrete terms.
Casting directors, productions and talent-search professionals
For professionals organising a production, Global Casting provides a talent-search path. Choosing a professional role leads to search filters and profile results. It is a practical way to move from the needs of a project to an organised list of potential collaborators.
The app offers a multilingual interface and an international-collaboration option. Languages and country become useful details for both presenting and searching, especially when a project involves people from several regions.
3. Path A: create your professional profile
From category selection to preview
Step 1 — Choose your profession and plan. Start with your creative role and select Free, Portfolio or Premium according to the material you wish to organise.
Step 2 — Enter your details. The form brings together first name, last name, country, city, email, telephone number, languages spoken and a description of your work. Additional professional fields appear depending on your category. You also complete the account-creation details and declarations requested by the form.
Step 3 — Choose photos and videos. Add appropriate material according to your plan's features. Every item has a purpose: a photograph introduces your visual presence, while video shows how you work and express yourself.
Step 4 — Preview. Review the overall appearance of your profile: title, profession, languages, description, material and availability. This is a good moment to improve the order and clarity of the information.
Step 5 — Publish. Continue from the account and profile process to Global Casting's publishing function. The interface also has a “Save demo” option, which helps preserve your entries as you prepare your material.
How your details are presented
Your professional presentation combines identity details, profession, description, languages, material and availability. Email and telephone fields form a separate category of contact information. When you finish, review the final profile and its personal link to see exactly how it appears to visitors.
A profile that clearly describes your profession and interests helps professionals understand your work quickly. Use specific sentences to present your skills, creative direction and the collaborations you are looking for.
4. Photos, professional video and introduction video
Three ways to present your work
Photos: show your appearance and professional style. For an actor, a clear portrait helps people recognise you immediately; for a model, a carefully selected photo series highlights different aspects of a portfolio.
Professional video: lets visitors see your work in action. This could be a performance extract, a song, a dance or a presentation of a relevant project.
Introduction video: is a brief personal greeting. You can mention your name, profession, city, languages and the kinds of collaborations you are seeking. The app offers this separately from the professional video.
Building a complete sample of your work
For example, an actor could bring together a professional portrait, a performance extract and a short personal introduction. This order lets visitors see your image first, then your work, then the information that helps them get to know you.
The Premium interface offers one professional video of up to two minutes or two videos of up to 60 seconds each, as well as an introduction video of up to 45 seconds. It also includes a private vault for up to three videos, separate from public material. Choose files you have the right to present and photos or videos for which you have the necessary permissions.
5. Availability and professional representation
Availability helps professionals understand the timeframe for a possible collaboration. Global Casting offers three options: “Available now”, “Available from a date” and “Currently unavailable”. Choose the status that matches your schedule and enter a date when appropriate.
For actors, singers, musicians, models and dancers, the form also includes an option to indicate that you are looking for an agent or manager. This lets a creator express interest in professional representation and gives relevant professionals another search criterion.
With the “International collaborations” option, you indicate an interest in projects outside your own country. Profession, languages, availability and interest in representation work together to make your profile more informative.
6. Path B: search for talent and collaborators
Begin with your production's needs
When seeking a collaborator, first choose the relevant professional role and then organise your search. The app's filters include profession, country, language, role age range and, in relevant categories, interest in representation.
A practical example: you need an actor for a Greek-speaking role in a production. Choose “Actor”, the appropriate country or language, and the role's age range. Then review the information and professional material shown in the results.
From filters to choosing a profile
The search brings together profiles matching your selected criteria. Focus on what matters to your production: profession, languages, experience, material and availability. When a profile fits your needs, examine it in more detail and add it to your shortlist.
How you contact a creator follows the information and features provided in that particular profile view. This keeps the process organised: search → review profile → save an expression of interest → next professional contact.
7. Shortlist: keep interesting profiles in one place
The shortlist helps you organise profiles you want to review again. During a search, you can gather creators suited to different roles or needs within the same project and return to your list when comparing details.
The Premium interface also describes the ability to see how many professionals have saved a profile to their shortlist. This gives creators an indication of interest they can consider alongside the other elements of their professional presentation.
For someone organising a production, the shortlist is above all an organisational tool: it keeps choices together so you can evaluate them against more specific criteria.
8. Two practical examples
8.1 From the idea for a profile to a complete presentation
Consider creating an actor's profile. First select “Actor” and add basic details, city, languages and a short description of your work. Next choose portraits and, according to your plan, a suitable video. Add your availability and review the overall result in the preview.
A helpful order is: who you are → what you create → which material shows it → when you are interested in collaborating. This example shows the steps you can follow with your own real professional information.

8.2 From a production's needs to a shortlist
Imagine planning a production and looking for a collaborator with a particular profession and languages. Use the filters, open results that fit your search and review each profile's content. Save profiles you want to assess together in your shortlist.
The project's criteria then become a practical sequence: profession → filters → profile → shortlist. The same process works for different roles and creative sectors.

9. Casting, news and opportunities
Global Casting includes a “News & Opportunities” section with categories such as theatre, casting and festivals. The cards currently displayed illustrate the format of this section and carry a sample label.
This section shows how different kinds of creative news can be organised. For your professional activity, you can already use the two main paths in Global Casting: prepare your presentation and search for people among available profiles.
Explore the Global Casting app to view the current section and its available options.
10. Free use and optional plans
Global Casting presents three professional-profile options: Free, Portfolio and Premium. Each is designed for different presentation and media needs. The public interface displays the following features and prices:
| Plan | Displayed price | Photos | Presentation features |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | €0 | 2 | Basic profile, personal link and appearance in search. |
| Portfolio | €9.90 / year | Up to 5 | Full profile, personal link and appearance in search. |
| Premium | €19.99 / year | Up to 9 | One professional video up to 2 minutes or two up to 60 seconds; introduction video up to 45 seconds; private storage for up to 3 videos; shortlist-save count. |
For Portfolio and Premium, the app displays 12 months plus three additional months for the first period, along with information about the following annual renewal. Premium also displays a founding price while the subscription remains continuously active. You can read these details on the plan selection screen before proceeding.
Talent search is described in the app as free. You can therefore explore profiles using criteria relevant to your project, while creators choose a presentation level that suits their material.
11. Personal details and responsible professional presentation
A well-prepared profile combines clear information, appropriate work samples and up-to-date availability. Global Casting includes account-creation fields, professional-profile details and media options, helping you organise participation in distinct steps.
Account creation includes acceptance of terms and a declaration of adulthood or legal representation. For photos and videos, choose material that belongs to you or that you have permission to publish. When presenting work involving other contributors, describe it accurately and respectfully.
The app distinguishes public professional material from the Premium private video vault. Careful material selection and reviewing the final profile help you present your work clearly and professionally.
